Acupuncture (dry needling)

Myself and John Tillyard use acupuncture techniques for pain relief. The methods we use are based on western orthodox principles rather than Chinese or Japanese methods. Often the points of application are similar but the rationale is different. It has been shown that using acupuncture needles can stimulate the production of anti inflamatories and endorphins (natural pain killers); it has also been shown to cause tight and painful muscles to relax.

We only use acupuncture for these reasons and not for the full range of conditions that a traditional acupuncturist would treat. If you are unsure if we can help we are happy to advise and if it is not appropriate for us to treat we will try and recommend to someone who can.
